What RoadTrip is

RoadTrip (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a collaborative playlist builder available at roadtripmusic.app. It connects to music streaming services like YouTube Music and Apple Music to read your music tastes and build shared playlists for groups of friends traveling together.

Your account

You need a Google account or an Apple Music account to use RoadTrip. When you sign in, we access basic profile information and your music library data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Any activity that happens under your account is your responsibility.

Acceptable use

When using RoadTrip, you agree not to:

  • Abuse, disrupt, or overload the service (e.g. automated scraping, denial-of-service attacks).
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
  • Use RoadTrip for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Interfere with other users' ability to enjoy the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Payments

RoadTrip offers a per-trip upgrade for $0.99 USD, paid via PayPal. This upgrade unlocks premium features for that specific trip and lasts for 30 days from the date of purchase.

All payments are non-refundable. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that the upgrade is applied immediately and that you will not be entitled to a refund.

Intellectual property

All music accessed through RoadTrip belongs to the respective artists, labels, and rights holders. RoadTrip does not host, store, or distribute music files.

We do not claim ownership of your data. Your playlists, trip information, and account data belong to you. We only use your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

RoadTrip relies on third-party services to function. By using RoadTrip, you also agree to abide by their terms:

Disclaimers

RoadTrip is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature of RoadTrip at any time without prior notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoadTrip and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of RoadTrip after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
